My Approach to Helping
Life is hard. It just is. At some point, you may have felt like you've lost sight of who you are and what you want. Whether that's due to mental illness, trauma, low self-worth, relationship challenges, or unexpected life changes, sometimes you just need someone to help guide you, and be present with you, through the struggle. I work with children, teens, and young adults, and specialize in working with trauma, life transitions, mood disorders, ADHD, anxiety, faith transitions, and LGBTQ+ issues. I believe that each individual has within them the ability to heal, grow, thrive, and become their true selves.
Just as no two people are alike, there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I am trained in a variety of modalities including sandplayexpressive arts therapies, trauma therapies such as EMDR and CPT, and traditional talk therapies such as CBT, DBT, and ACT.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is crucial in the healing process, and I strive to connect with each client and help them feel accepted in a non-judgmental and safe environment. You don’t have to continue to feel that there is no hope, and you don’t have to go through this struggle alone.
