My Approach to Helping
Every individual who comes to my practice has their own unique story and situation, and it is my job to listen and understand where they are coming from. My approach to helping people is to meet them where they are, and help them identify their own goals and determine what the best path is for them to take.
When you come to my office, we will work together as a team to resolve the issues that may be getting in the way of you living a joyous and productive life. I believe in the theory of "unconditional, positive, regard" and that the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of psychotherapy. Once that is established, anything is possible!
More Info About My Practice
The majority of my experience has been working with individuals and families struggling with addiction and substance abuse. Helping families understand substance abuse and working with them to heal the wounds of addiction is a fierce passion of mine.
But I also enjoy working with couples and helping them find ways to reconnect and learn better communication skills to enhance their relationships. So much can be resolved between couples when they sit with an objective observer whose only agenda is to help them find each other again.
