My Approach to Helping

At Through The Trees Therapy we believe that everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses and sometimes we just need the help and guidance of someone else to help us uncover what they are and help us navigate what they mean.
I graduated with my Masters of Education concentrating in School Counseling from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Before joining Through The Trees, I have worked in the field of school counseling for various districts in both Arizona and Massachusetts. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Counseling, and Motivational Interviewing. I am currently participating in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course offered through the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Using these methods in conjunction with an individualized approach tailored to meet clients where they are at, I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental, and empowering space.
My call of service burns brightest for children and adolescents, as I believe building a foundation in which we can always draw from the tools in our tool belt will help ensure that we are set up for success. The earlier in life these tools start accumulating around our foundation, the more power of choice we will have on which ones to grab when life takes its inevitable twists and turns.
Some of my pastimes include yoga, mediatation, cooking, reading, and gardening.
