My Approach to Therapy

I treat children, adolescents and adults who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood dysregulation and behavioral difficulties. I have a history of working with persons who are dual diagnosed and I also treat individuals who are struggling with life transitions and other day to day challenges. In addition, I work with couples who are struggling with communicating effectively and understanding their significant other's perspective. There are other licensed providers working in the practice. One of our providers will be running a DBT skills training group for adolescents. This group will run for 6 weeks and we are currently accepting referrals.

My Practice & Services

I am trained in trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I therefore offer therapy to children, adolescents and adults who experience trauma related disorders.

Groups I Work With

I offer mental health services to young children, teenagers, and couples. The establishment of a strong, supportive therapeutic relationship is my first focus when providing mental health care as this provides a firm foundation for effective treatment. I approach each person in therapy as an individual with unique circumstances. The use of effective skills such as empathetic listening, critical thinking, and direct, therapeutic feedback are hallmarks of my counseling style. Many individuals or couples who I meet with will often share that they feel comfortable and safe talking about the things that are bothering them and feel as if they can openly share their problems without feeling judged. Individuals who are seeking mental health services may make an appointment for the weekend, or for any morning or evening during the midweek.
