My Approach to Helping
Jennifer L. Jackson, MA, LCPC is a licensed clinical professional counselor in Illinois providing telehealth services. Jennifer graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2005 from the HBCU Wilberforce University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, becoming a licensed social worker (LSW) in Ohio. Jennifer earned her master’s degree in clinical psychology with a counseling specialization from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2007. Jennifer has worked as an outpatient case manager, a crisis clinician and health officer, a family therapist, a pediatric psychiatric social worker, and as an inpatient clinical therapist. Jennifer is an eclectic therapist who is well versed in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT.) Jennifer believes in creating an egalitarian relationship with the client to foster a safe and empowering environment for long term recovery and stability. Jennifer has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups living with depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, Bipolar Disorder, relationship stressors, and addiction. Jennifer also has experience serving children and adolescents living with mood disorders, and behavioral disorders. Jennifer is currently in training as a yoga teacher with goals to utilize yoga for trauma and addiction recovery.
