What's My Approach to Therapy?
Life can be hard at times, and at the same time I recognize that starting therapy can be a big step for you. In fact, you may or may not know what to expect when you decide to start therapy. However, know that above all else I will meet you wherever you are with respect to your human experience and personal journey. Providing a comfortable and confidential safe space for you to work through your challenges, as well as developing a rapport that builds trust, is my top priority. I will make sure that the pace of therapy is appropriate for your comfort level.
Once you start the process, I will provide treatment recommendations, including how often your sessions will be. I will apply techniques to help you process difficult emotions and life experiences. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, strained relationships, loneliness, break-ups, family issues, college or career dilemmas, unstable moods, self-esteem and confidence issues, financial concerns, health concerns, grief, or other clinical issues, I'm here to help. You'll be provided with tools along the way that will help you build skills for ongoing and future wellness. You can expect therapy sessions to generally be 50–60 minutes each.
If there is a problem that you'd like help with, as a seasoned practitioner I can likely assist you with it. Should you have questions that were not answered here, I do understand. Call me for a brief consult. You can also make your first appointment if you'd like to get started with therapy.
