What's My Approach to Therapy?

You might be someone who has experienced emptiness, a loss of meaning, or a loss of self. Maybe you sense that you are carrying something with you, like a particular memory, an emotion, or unexplained physical pain. Perhaps you have questioned your relationships or personal motivations, wondering if this is really who you are, or what your life was meant to be like.

If the above sounds like you, I may be able to help. During our time together, we will foster a unique space for us to explore, try on ideas, and be curious about what is at the center of your experience. In this exploration, we are able to discover an identity that feels true to you, an identity that promotes personal agency, resiliency, and freedom.

We will look at patterns in relationships to yourself and to others, explore the emotions or motivations held in these experiences, and understand how these experiences have shaped your present life. I welcome your feelings, thoughts, memories, and dreams, as these elements can offer insight as to what may be at the core of your struggles.

Please reach out if you have any questions about me or my approach to therapy. I look forward to meeting you!

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have experience working with people struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, childhood trauma, and complex PTSD. I help individuals and couples who have experienced family issues, struggles with relationships and attachment, women's health and fertility issues, sexual abuse, and experiences of incarceration. I also work with those in search of individual meaning, identity, and authenticity.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

I believe in the pursuit of a "true self"--a state where your core desires, thoughts, and experiences are alive and able to be expressed. No matter your reason for seeking therapy, I look to accompany you on a patient exploration of your story. Together, we will find what is central to your experience and discover your most genuine self.
