My Approach to Helping
I describe myself as a supportive, authentic, and direct therapist. My priority is for my clients to feel emotionally safe, connected, and validated. My background is in social work, so I have a holistic perspective and collaborate with each client on the best way we can work together to help them reach their goals. Each individual is more than just their psyche...their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are impacted by their relationships, environment, resources, and histories. I love hearing about all parts of my client's life so we can draw a map for how to help them function better. Clients usually begin with weekly sessions but the frequency can decrease once the individual feels more stable and confident.
