My Approach to Helping
If you are highly critical of yourself, have difficulty trusting in yourself, are facing a life transition, feel stuck in long-standing patterns of thinking or being, or are experiencing relational issues, therapy may be a meaningful process for you to engage in. Anxiety, depression, and issues around self-esteem are painful experiences that many of us face. Often times, we get used to feeling these ways, or don't know what to do about them, or we believe what our self-critic tells us about ourselves, resulting in feelings of shame and a pressure to be different.
I honor the therapeutic relationship deeply and offer a warm and accepting space for my clients. My job is to enter your world, understand what your experiences have been like, what they have felt like, and how they have shaped who you are and how you feel about yourself. Through this understanding, I work with you to cultivate self-compassion and change. I will provide you support in identifying the false beliefs you may have about yourself and what you are capable of. By building trust in your authentic self, we will work to change old, unhelpful patterns of thinking and feeling, and find new ways to manage life.
If this resonates with you, please feel free to give me a call and set up a free 20-minute consultation.
