My Approach to Helping

I'm a clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience treating adults and adolescents, specializing in anxiety, depression, addiction, and severe mood disorders.

My clinical philosophy is grounded in psychodynamic theory, with an integration of cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques that can provide urgent symptom alleviation. I found this dual-approach most helpful in successfully decreasing feelings of anxiety, stress, depression, and anger issues.

I'm passionate about helping individuals understand the relationships, experiences, and sometimes unconscious patterns that have shaped their lives. Through compassionate and collaborative exploration, my goal is help you build increased self-awareness and form new understandings of your past and present so you can feel good about the next chapter of your life. I believe that through finding your own voice, you can build confidence in yourself and your decisions.

More Info About My Practice

Insurance Reimbursement Information:

I am an out of network provider for all PPO insurance plans. At the end of every month, I can provide you with an invoice (also known as a “superbill”), which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Typically, you pay the full fee upfront and receive a percentage of it back, with the amount varying from plan to plan.

In order to get an accurate idea of your out-of-network insurance benefits, here are some questions you can ask your insurance provider:

Call the number on your insurance card and ask:
• "What percentage am I reimbursed for routine behavioral health care out of network"
• "What is my deductible?" Find out if you have a deductible for out of network providers and how much it is.
• “Is there an “allowable amount” for behavioral healthcare (this is sometimes referred to as “reasonable and customary fees”)?
• If needed, you can ask what the reimbursement is for CPT procedure code 90837 (a typical 60-minute therapy session)
