When working with you, I strive first and foremost to hear you deeply without judgement. I truly care about what you're going through, and there is hope for you. I have struggled myself with divorce, loss and anxiety. I believe this has made me a more compassionate and understanding therapist and has fueled my passion to help others.

I cherish my Christian faith and love integrating that into our work at your request. I believe that our mind, body and spirit are dependent on each other to be well, so I strive to attend to any discomfort in any of these areas.

You will have the benefit of my "toolbag" of ways to help. One special tool I sometimes use is art therapy. Even people who claim no artistic ability are amazed at the insight and healing power of this type of help.

More Info About My Practice

My regular fee is $130 per session, but I work on a sliding scale for uninsured clients with low income. I am a Blue Shield provider, and accept all Blue Shield policies. I also am willing to help bill any insurance policy that accepts out of network providers.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am especially skilled at helping with troubled teens, premarital counseling, blended families, and infidelity. I also enjoy working with people who are making mid-life transitions and dealing with midlife challenges. I am experienced with working with adult children and helping them transition out into the world as independent adults.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Psychotherapy helps us untangle what gets all tied up deep inside us and helps bring it to the surface where we can deal with it. This allows us to live with more freedom...freedom from fears, anxieties, and self-limiting beliefs. It can also help us cultivate more fulfilling relationships and become who we are really meant to be. Sometimes, there are hard things that there is very little we can do anything about. Psychotherapy can help us accept and cope with what cannot be changed and live the best life we can.
