My Approach to Helping
My name is Ginka and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Texas. I have been in service to the community for the past 4 years and I am delighted to be able to provide support and understanding to my clients at PATH.
My preferred models of work are postmodern: narrative, solution-focused, collaborative, and client-centered. I work with my clients to help discover their strengths and preferred realities. I employ eclectic modalities to cater to the clients' needs.
I have experience working with couples, teens, families, and individuals. I possess a deep understanding of the nature of substance abuse, trauma, and the ever-growing presentation of dual diagnosis (mental health and addiction).
I collaborate with my clients when working on goals and treatment plans. Clients’ needs are unique and fluctuating, therefore, I assess the clients’ needs during every session.
When working with me you can expect a welcoming and friendly environment where open conversations are key to success and positive results.
Homework weekly activities are assigned when requested or deemed needed.
