My Approach to Helping

Are you carrying sexual secrets or feeling exhausted by the stress of hiding your struggles? Whether it’s compulsive behavior or a lack of desire, you're not alone—and there is a way forward. As a certified sex therapist with advanced training in sex addiction, EMDR, and Somatic Experiencing, I help individuals and couples address a wide range of sexual concerns—from out-of-control behavior to deep feelings of shame or disconnection.

You might be afraid of losing your partner, damaging your family, or risking your career. The guilt, secrecy, and internal pressure can feel overwhelming. But you don’t have to stay stuck. Taking that first step to reach out is hard—but it's also one of the most important things you can do.

I work with clients facing:
Porn addiction and compulsive sexual behavior
Low sexual desire or mismatched libido
Erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and other sexual performance issues
Sexual shame, trauma, and emotional disconnection
Relationship conflict and rebuilding trust after betrayal

I know how difficult these topics can be to talk about. That’s why I create a safe, judgment-free space to explore them together—at your pace. Using trauma-informed, body-based methods like EMDR and Somatic Experiencing, I help clients process both current behaviors and the deeper roots behind them.

Whether you're seeking LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, sex therapy for men, or support in improving emotional and physical intimacy, we’ll work together to help you heal, reconnect, and feel more at peace in your body and relationships.

Ready to stop feeling stuck? Take the first step toward healing your relationship with sex, yourself, and others. Contact me today to schedule your first session.

More Info About My Practice

I’m the owner and founder of Vantage Point Counseling Services, a group practice based in Dallas that specializes in addiction, trauma, sexuality, and relationships. Our team of therapists provides compassionate, inclusive care for individuals and couples—including those navigating complex issues around compulsive sexual behavior, betrayal, emotional disconnection, and trauma recovery.

As both a Certified Sex Therapist and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), I offer specialized support to help clients manage out-of-control sexual behavior, rebuild trust, and develop healthy, fulfilling intimacy. I also work with those experiencing low sexual desire, performance anxiety, and sexual dysfunction—particularly in men who may feel isolated or ashamed about these struggles.

In addition, I’m trained in EMDR and Somatic Experiencing, two powerful, body-informed trauma therapies that help clients move through the effects of painful or overwhelming life experiences in a safe, grounded way.

At Vantage Point, we are proud to offer LGBTQ+ affirming therapy and a judgment-free space where clients can explore their identities, relationships, and healing paths. We welcome you to visit our website to learn more about our team and how we can support you.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I specialize in working with individuals and couples on a wide range of issues related to sexuality, intimacy, and identity. As both a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, I help clients navigate challenges such as sexual dysfunction, infidelity, out-of-control sexual behavior, and mismatched sexual desire.

I frequently work with couples who are struggling to rebuild trust, rekindle sexual connection, or heal after betrayal. Whether the issue is rooted in emotional distance, secrecy, or past trauma, I offer a structured, compassionate approach to creating real change.

I also provide LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, supporting clients through self-acceptance, coming out, and other life transitions where it?s essential to feel understood and supported by a nonjudgmental therapist. My goal is to create a space where clients of all backgrounds can safely explore who they are and what they want in their lives and relationships.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Psychotherapy offers a space to be honest?with yourself and with someone who?s trained to listen without judgment. Whether you're struggling with sexuality, intimacy, addiction, trauma, or relationship challenges, therapy can help you gain clarity, break unhealthy patterns, and move toward a more fulfilling life.

Many of the people I work with feel stuck, ashamed, or overwhelmed. You may be keeping secrets, avoiding difficult conversations, or feeling disconnected from your partner?or even from yourself. In therapy, we work together to understand the underlying pain that?s driving these struggles, and to build healthier ways of relating, coping, and connecting.

As a trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, I use a combination of evidence-based tools?like EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and specialized sex therapy interventions?to support deep, sustainable change. Whether you're dealing with compulsive sexual behavior, low desire, performance concerns, or the emotional aftermath of infidelity or betrayal, therapy provides a path forward.

You don?t have to carry this alone. With the right support, healing is possible?and therapy can be the starting point for transformation, insight, and lasting connection.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

If you have tried therapy before and it didn?t help, or even made things feel more confusing or painful, you are not alone. I often work with people who have been through therapy in the past and felt dismissed, judged, or misunderstood. That does not mean you are beyond help. It just means you have not found the right fit yet.

I truly enjoy working with clients who are hesitant because of previous experiences. Maybe the therapy felt too surface-level. Maybe the therapist did not understand the complexity of issues like sexuality, addiction, or trauma. Or maybe you simply did not feel safe enough to be honest. All of that is valid.

In our work together, we will take the time to rebuild what therapy should be. You deserve a space that is yours, where you are not judged or pressured to perform. You will be met with compassion, curiosity, and care.

You deserve a therapy experience that helps you feel seen, understood, and supported. The right support can make all the difference.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Seeking therapy isn?t a sign that something is broken in you. It?s a sign that you matter.

Too often, people carry shame about needing support, especially when it comes to sensitive issues like sex, addiction, or emotional pain. This is especially true in men. You might feel like you should ?figure it out? on your own, or worry that asking for help means you?re weak or flawed. But the truth is: therapy isn?t about fixing what?s wrong with you. It?s about creating space to understand yourself more deeply and to grow into the person you want to be.

Everyone faces challenges. Some are loud and obvious, others are quiet and hidden. Therapy gives you the chance to untangle the deeper layers of what you?re experiencing?with curiosity instead of judgment.

Whether you?re trying to heal from trauma, repair a relationship, gain control of sexual behaviors, or feel more at home in your body and identity, reaching out isn?t something to be ashamed of. It?s something to be proud of.

Therapy is a place for strength, not flaw. And you deserve that space.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

I encourage clients to come into therapy weekly, but also work with clients bi-weekly. Meeting regularly keeps things on your mind and also helps to build the solid relationship which is the most important thing in therapy.
