My Approach to Helping
I take on a collaborative approach in supporting individuals to improve their mental wellbeing. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, client-entered, strength-based, and anti-oppressive . My goal is to be a supportive and compassionate presence as individuals embark on their journey of healing and growth. I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing issues such as trauma, relationship concerns, racial trauma, domestic or relational abuse, experience of abuse in childhood, anxiety, self-esteem or self-worth concerns, depression, and life transition challenges.
It is my goal to create a treatment plan that is tailored for clients I work with. For this reason, I draw on treatment approaches such as, Cognitive behavioural therapy, Emotion-focused therapy, Solution-focused therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to create tailored treatment approaches.
