My Approach to Helping
I want to help people create a meaningful connection with the world around them. I use compassionate, integrative, and person-focused counseling to resolve difficult issues, facilitate clarity and understanding, and promote growth and change. We all have the resources within us to live and thrive, and it's my goal to help people access strengths, gifts, and talents. No matter the issue, each person is unique and deserves a chance to explore who they are and who they want to be.
Much of my training and experience has been with treating co-occurring eating disorders, addictive disorders, trauma, and mood disorders. I've found that often times, covert issues surface as we address very present problems. We can't truly heal without exploring and addressing all of it!
Going to therapy is a huge step in committing to change things, and I want to honor that! Whether you've been to therapy or through treatment before, or this is your first time, I want to create a comfortable, open space for you.
