Hi! My name is Emily Berndt and I am a Mental Health Counselor Intern based in Oviedo, FL.

I offer affordable Mental Health Counseling for clients on a variety of topics, including self-esteem and self-confidence, anxiety and depression, academic concerns, children and adolescent counseling, and adult ADHD counseling. My approach is solution-focused and strength-based, helping clients to become more resilient and self-compassionate.

More Info About My Practice

I provide individual therapy at my office in Oviedo. TeleHealth is available as an accommodation for clients who request it. I am committed to helping clients feel supported in therapy. Sessions are typically 50 minutes. I offer longer appointments for those who request more time. If you want to notice immediate results from mental health counseling, I would recommend visiting with your counselor 1-2 times per week. However, some clients prefer biweekly visits. I offer scheduling flexibility and do not require clients to commit to a minimum number of sessions.

    I work with children and adolescents, as well as young adult clients. I have a background working in K-12 public schools with middle and high-school-aged teens. I have also worked as a disability resource provider for over six years and am well-acquainted with accommodations and modifications.
