My Approach to Helping

I specialize in working with anyone facing issues related to anxiety, depression, interpersonalrelationship difficulties (ie boundary setting and people pleasing), as well as self-sabotaging thoughts and behaviors. Whether you are feeling stuck in the past, living in the future, or feeling too anxious to participate in life, you can learn ways to properly cope with unpleasant life experiences and regulate emotions in the present. Using a non-judgmental and depth-oriented approach, my practice revolves around helping you identify and change self-sabotaging thoughts and behaviors, learn how to more efficiently regulate emotions, as well as gain a greater understanding of yourself and the people in your life.
My clinical specialities and areas of professional interest include anxiety, addiction, relationships, heartbreak, trauma recovery, and depression. I have worked with individuals and couples in a variety of settings throughout the years while remaining dedicated to maintaining standards of professional conduct and confidentiality.

More Info About My Practice

My integrative approach is straightforward, open, empathetic, and solution-focused. You hold the answers and are the expert in your own life; with therapeutic guidance and direction, you can learn the skills necessary to stop anxiety and negative thoughts regulating unwanted behavior and emotions. I use effective and scientifically based treatment methodologies tailored to your specific treatment plan. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) combined with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) has proven to be most effective in my work. I look forward to working with you!

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

The client-therapist alliance is hugely important in facilitating positive movement and growth. It is my view that therapy is most successful when the client and therapist have a strong and trusting relationship. My approach is warm and somewhat unconventional, as I incorporate humor and metaphors and whatever I believe will be beneficial to your needs.
