Primary Credential: Licensed Mental Health Counselor

I don't currently accept insurance, but I can provide documentation if clients wish to submit to an insurance company for "out of network" benefit coverage

Fees: $125 for 60 minute sessions.

I am considered out-of-network and not contracted with any insurance companies. Make sure to check with your insurance about out-of-network benefits. Upon request, I provide clients with a superbill (a detailed receipt) to submit for possible reimbursement by their insurance provider.

Why Choose an Out-of-Network Provider?

If you don’t want to be limited by a timeline or a set number of sessions. Out-of-network therapists can offer longer and more frequent sessions than insurance might cover.

You want confidentiality. For insurance providers to process payments or reimbursements for your counseling sessions, they necessitate, at the very least, the dates of service and your mental health diagnosis. Although your sessions are confidential, a signed consent form is mandatory to permit the counselor to relay this sensitive information to your insurer. Should your insurer mandate pre-approval for your treatment or decide to review your file, supplementary details, including notes from your therapy sessions, will need to be disclosed.

My Approach to Helping

My approach to therapy is collaborative and shaped according to your needs. Helping you feel empowered and effectively chase your life goals and values is my passion. Clients I work with often report increased confidence in managing triggers, a reduction in anxiety, and a renewed sense of purpose. I provide evidence-based therapy, choosing techniques that research shows to be effective in overcoming complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and stress.

Perhaps you're overwhelmed with anxiety, stress, or past traumas that affect your daily life and relationships. Maybe you oscillate between exhaustion and hypervigilance. Important areas of your life are suffering because of how you feel. You want to feel more connected, confident, and in control, but previous attempts at therapy left you feeling misunderstood or invalidated. I work with clients who want to feel productive, in control of their emotions, and more connected in their relationships. They acknowledge the impact the past has had on the present and are motivated to heal and gain control.

My goal is to help you find peace and live the life you want authentically. My philosophy is rooted in a compassionate and personalized approach to mental health counseling. Therapy should be adapted to your specific circumstances, personality, and preferences. Specializing in complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, and recovery from toxic relationships, my aim is not only to alleviate symptoms but to create inner safety and work collaboratively to uncover and address the root causes of your challenges.

Clients reach out to me in pursuit of a therapist who is relatable and nonjudgmental, providing positive insights and objective feedback in a safe setting. Whether you feel tethered to the past, living in the future, or too anxious to participate in life, you can learn new ways to cope and regulate emotions in the present.

I have worked with individuals and couples in various settings throughout the years while remaining dedicated to maintaining standards of professional conduct and confidentiality.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

The client-therapist alliance is hugely important in facilitating positive movement and growth. It is my view that therapy is most successful when the client and therapist have a strong and trusting relationship. My approach is warm and somewhat unconventional, as I incorporate humor and metaphors and whatever I believe will be beneficial to your needs.
