My Approach to Helping

My approach to therapy is collaborative and shaped according to your needs. Helping you recover from complex trauma & PTSD, anxiety, and relationship issues so you can effectively chase your life goals and values is my passion. Clients I have worked with often report increased confidence in managing triggers, a reduction in anxiety, and a renewed sense of confidence. I provide evidence-based therapy, choosing techniques that research shows to be effective in helping overcome trauma, anxiety, and stress.

My goal is to help you find peace and live the life you want in a way that is authentic to you. My philosophy is rooted in a deeply compassionate and personalized approach to mental health counseling. I believe that each individual’s journey is unique, and so should be their therapy. Specializing in complex trauma, anxiety, stress, as well as relationship challenges and recovery from toxic relationships, my aim is not only to alleviate symptoms but to create inner safety and work collaboratively with you to uncover and address the root causes of your challenges.

Clients reach out to me in pursuit of a therapist who is relatable and nonjudgmental; one who provides positive insights and objective feedback in a safe setting. Whether you are feeling tethered to the past, living in the future, or feeling too anxious to participate in life, you can learn new ways to cope and regulate emotions in the present.

I have worked with individuals and couples in a variety of settings throughout the years while remaining dedicated to maintaining standards of professional conduct and confidentiality.

More Info About My Practice

I take a holistic and integrated approach that is warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental. I draw from evidence-based treatment modalities and use techniques to teach you skills to reduce the power of anxious thoughts and feelings as well as regulate emotions. We will customize your treatment plan according to your individual needs and concerns. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) have proven to be most effective in my work. I look forward to working with you!

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

The client-therapist alliance is hugely important in facilitating positive movement and growth. It is my view that therapy is most successful when the client and therapist have a strong and trusting relationship. My approach is warm and somewhat unconventional, as I incorporate humor and metaphors and whatever I believe will be beneficial to your needs.
