My Approach to Therapy

Are you secretly unhappy? Feeling stuck? Stressed? I provide individual and couples therapy. My clients tend to be high achievers who hit a bump in the road. Whether you need help getting the joy back in your life or the love back in your marriage, I can help. Maybe a sense of sadness or a lack of self-esteem is holding you back. Or anxiety is plaguing you. Maybe you looked up and realized this is not where you wanted to be at this point in your life. Whatever it is that is holding you back from living a fully joyous, fulfilling life is what I want to help you with. Many times, the solution is found in a few sessions. But I can only help if you reach out! I offer a very private office with a separate entrance and exit for your comfort. I have also been invited and spoken at the Harvard Faculty Club, and am highly rated in Winter Park. Available in person or online.

My Practice & Services

There are many master's level therapists (LMHT, LMFT, etc.), but few actual doctors of psychology. I graduated magna cum laude from Rollins College with degrees in both Psychology and Philosophy, and hold a Master's degree and a Doctorate Degree in Psychology. I was recently honored with a personal invitation to speak at the Harvard Faculty Club as part of the Symposium of Leaders in Personal Development, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, in 2016 and again in 2017. I am highly trained to help you!

How Psychotherapy Can Help

I have helped thousands of people, from ages 4 - 90. If you have anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, or just feel stuck, therapy can help you. To make you feel more comfortable with my experience, please know that I provided counseling and supervised 10 clinicians for 4 years with children grades K through 12 in the Osceola school system; I have provided counseling in a women's shelter, with all branches of the military, and in a locked inpatient facility. I recently was honored to speak at the Harvard Faculty Club two times on making life changes. Feel free to call and ask any questions you might have - I would be honored to help you.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

The purpose of psychotherapy is to help you challenge and remove any self-limiting beliefs that you may not see. Sometimes that entails resolving past hurts and wounds, this time for good. Seeing people become happier and more fulfilled and content is why I do what I do.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I was able, at the age of 37, to completely change my life. I decided to start college - yes, START college at that age. I even had to take the SAT! Slowly, but surely I changed my life and am now happier and more fulfilled than I ever dreamed possible. I am a huge believer that is it NEVER too late to have a happy life. I LOVE helping people remove the roadblocks that are holding them back. Some times it is just a simple negative belief that we have to smash through. My favorite thing is when someone says "I never thought of it that way". Changing your thoughts can change your life. Let's do this!

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Therapy does not have to be a long, drawn out process. Many times just a few sessions can have a huge positive impact on your life. Therapy is an investment in YOU and your future. You only get one life - make it the best it can be. **Teleheath sessions available**
