My Approach to Helping
Hello, I'm Deborah Zweifel, MSW, LMSW, a graduate of St Louis University School of Social Work specializing in Clinical Mental Health. I completed a year-long internship at the Schiele Clinic at the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute in which I worked with a diverse population of clients practicing psychodynamic psychotherapy under supervision. Currently, I am supervised by David Chernof LCSW of Behavioral Help, LLC.
Sometimes we can feel overwhelmed by the noise of the world and it can be easy to lose touch with our internal self. Perhaps you are just beginning to notice this loss of self, maybe you have known for a while that things just don't feel right. Maybe you are struggling through a life transition and feel that you need and deserve your own time and space to safely express your unique story with an empathetic and thoughtful practitioner.
I believe that we seek to understand ourselves on the inside and to live our lives in a way that feels most authentic to us. I see my role as a psychotherapist to help you understand what that means in your life I strive to help facilitate the reconciliation of parts of self and assist you in understanding you--your desires, motivations, changes, and losses in a manner that helps you grow into a more authentic you.
