My Approach to Helping
My practice helps women conquer the effects of childhood trauma and find truth about their identity. Together my clients and I remove the lens of their abusers to bring their true self into focus. After co-laboring to heal the wounds from their past, we work together to build their resilience, guarding against future injury. Together we stop the effects of abuse from stealing their future.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
What I love most about being a therapist is seeing my clients lives transformed. Many of my clients come to me in a state of internal chaos or not knowing what they need from their therapy. Together we work toward identifying tailored goals that help them regain their identity. In some cases, my clients find their identity for the first time. Watching my clients thrive instead of survive brings joy to my heart.
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
The Client-Therapist alliance is the most important component for successful therapy. Without safety and trust, authentic work cannot begin. Lasting change is the result of a unique trust given to enable your therapist to walk through some of your darkest moments without judgment. The therapeutic alliance is not a friendship, which enables therapist to enter into your story with intention that may not be afforded a friendship. The entire goal of the Client-Therapist Alliance is to facilitate healing.
