My Approach to Helping
My name is Crystal Gee, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I have a Masters Degree in Professional Clinical Counseling, a Bachelors in Management of Human Services, and an Associate in Criminal Justice. I have worked in the human services field for over 17 years. I spent 5 years working in a mental health agency where I trained and became an evidence-based practice mental health clinician specializing in emotional and disruptive diagnoses with certifications in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TFCBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT), managing and adapting practices (MAP), seeking safety, and parent child interactive therapy (PCIT). I also have training in structural family therapy. I am well-versed in treating clients that suffer from trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, behavioral disruption, grief, anger management, mood disturbances, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), and suicidal ideations. Through clinical assessments, diagnosis, and personalized treatment planning, I have helped clients achieve their goals and increase effective solutions by increasing their structured problem-solving skills, communication skills, emotional identification, social skills, self-esteem, and managing their overall mental health by providing them with successful coping skills. With a gentle but direct approach, my main focus is to provide clients with psychoeducation and a safe place where they can learn about themselves through processing and coping techniques to help them overcome life’s obstacles and achieve their goals.
