My Approach to Helping

My place in this world is to be the foundation for people when they feel as if they have none. My duty is to provide my clients with the tools they need to continue the process of healing long after they cease from receiving my services. I am the pillar of strength for my clients to lean on until, together, we find a way for them to stand tall on their own. This is the therapeutic relationship; the definition of healing that lovingly guides me in my practice.

More Info About My Practice

Telehealth only.

My Role as a Therapist

My therapeutic approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and compassion-focused. I offer compassionate feedback, subtle humor, and empathetic listening. I hold a safe space to unpack the heaviness to feel less burdened. I help clients better understand their symptoms and experiences, empower their authentic self, and offer the tools and techniques that can help and reinforce what has been taught in session. I am committed to diligently maintaining my own learning to ensure I am always supporting my clients as best I can. I help my clients explore the perceptions we naturally carry throughout life and empower their authenticity. Through insight and intention, change is not only possible but sustainable.

My Therapy Focus

I specialize in trauma-informed, neuroscience-integrated, and compassion-focused treatment and certified in Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Rational Emotional Behavior Therapy (REBT), and mindfulness techniques. I help adults process and overcome life's challenges while guiding them towards a path of healing, meaning, and growth.

My Guiding Ethical Principles

I value honesty and transparency and provide this to my clients as well. I encourage open communication and feedback about my clients' experiences in each session. This also helps my clients strengthen their self-confidence and cultivate healthy, assertive communication skills and self-expression methods.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take! Throughout my clinical experience, I have helped countless clients who have carried the weight of the world on their shoulders. This burden has negatively impacted their ability to lead fulfilling lives and become the best version of themselves. If this sounds familiar, you don't have to live in pain! There are a myriad of treatment options, ranging from the rational-based to the holistic, that can make a profound difference in your life. Therapy is a safe setting where you are compassionately accepted for who you are. I validate your past while helping you find a more purposeful future.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

I don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all solution to therapy; I personalize each session and draw on from many methods and techniques, including evidence-based and holistic methods. I use the first session to understand my client's needs and perspectives. At the conclusion, we discuss treatment options aligned with their goals. Taking a shared decision-making approach, my clients feel empowered and in control as we take steps toward their goals. As the natural evolution of growth involves change, we also make adjustments to treatment as necessary.
