My Approach to Helping
I want you to see this as a tolerant, open, supportive space to share your hidden wounds and concerns. I will work with you at your own pace. I am available for online counselling through email, phone, or webcam. I am a strong supporter of online therapy because it allows us to work around your other commitments and duties. I love working with everyone. I try and bring a fresh, original approach with each client I work with.
We all make mistakes. We all can feel overwhelmed, confused, rejected, sad, disappointed, guilty even hopeless. Sometimes when we feel so passionately about something it is hard to come up with the answers that allow us to move forward. It can become a vicious internal battle with little relief. It can impact every facet of your life-sleep, appetite, self-esteem and confidence, work, family life, coping, mood and a whole host of other undesirable habits, thoughts and feelings. Sometimes it feels like there will be no end to the pain, addiction, depression, anxiety. We try to numb these feelings and thoughts in ways that ultimately cause more pain and rejection and anger and sometimes withdrawal. That is where I want to step in to help you get through this.
I want you to figure out what you really want. I want to help you embrace your personal story, your own personal truths. Let us figure out which of these may also possibly be preventing you from moving forward or trying something new and different. We all can feel stuck sometimes. Sometimes too much uncertainty, fear, worry, panic, sadness lead us to procrastinate and maybe distort what is going on. I want to help you figure out what is going on and find ways you can confidently face those situations that are causing you too much pain and too much hopelessness.
