My Approach to Helping

My counseling style is inclusive, warm, and judgment-free. I am sensitive to and respectful of people of different races, genders, sexual orientations, religious beliefs, ages, body sizes, cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, abilities, and family settings. I am eager to help the people in my care regain hope and a positive view of the future.
I offer a safe, nurturing environment where you may explore your issues and learn more about yourself. My goals are to work closely with you, help you increase your self-respect, and empower you to make the positive changes you desire.
I am a big believer in using creativity in treatment. As some people may not be comfortable with talk therapy, having creative methods of expression may greatly improve communication. Some of the techniques we may use in our sessions together include storytelling and connecting to new narratives.
