Having been trained in both trauma and creative arts, I possess a unique blend of insights and tools to help struggling clients move from merely surviving to thriving.
Amy Gillette is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). She is passionate about working with individuals to help them overcome trauma, grief, and anxiety disorders. Amy specializes in trauma, grief, and childhood attachment issues. Amy completed her Master of Professional Counseling at Liberty University. Her undergraduate degree is in Art, and, for those clients who are interested, she often blends expressive arts interventions into her counseling work. Amy is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) certification. Her personal strengths include strong attunement and empathy with clients as well as the ability to non-judgmentally help individuals recognize their own personal strengths. Amy utilizes an eclectic blend of research-supported treatment approaches, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, EMDR, and narrative therapy. Amy unreservedly believes in the resiliency of the human spirit and has personally seen clients move from merely surviving to thriving.
