My Approach to Helping
Women face many difficulties on their journey to motherhood. The most common difficulties are difficulties conceiving, stress preparing for the arrival of the baby, a birth experience that did not go the way they expected, and overwhelmed once the baby is here. My clients have a variety of perinatal experiences; struggles with emotions during pregnancy, postpartum as well miscarriage and infant loss. If you have lost your baby, it is a very difficult time; a loss of hopes and dreams and grieving in a world that does not have rituals or ways to respond to you.
I offer therapy that provides a nurturing and healing place for all women on their journey to motherhood as well as therapy that focuses on helping you through the grieving process when you have lost your baby. In therapy, we explore what you are experiencing and focus on strengths and perspectives to be gained as you find your new normal.
I have a calming and comforting presence with a sense of humor, guiding you through this time to get to the other side. As a clinical social worker and therapist, I have helped women find peace with uncertainty, and feel empowered to move forward despite challenges this journey brings.
