My Approach to Helping
Are you feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, worried, sad, or just plain sick and tired of it all? These feelings are common but can sometimes be difficult to handle on your own. It is important to be able to express your feelings and thoughts in an open and safe way. I offer individual psychotherapy to help you gain insight into what troubles you. I believe in using a strength based and compassionate approach. I will listen and help guide you in your self-discovery. It is beneficial to put words to your experiences. I believe that this can be achieved with gentle encouragement and engagement. This process often includes humor but can also include facing challenges and fears. It can illuminate the connection between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. We will examine your patterns in relationship and other areas where you feel stuck. This journey can ultimately lead you to a more confident, stable, and happier sense of self.
