My Approach to Helping

During the COVID-19 outbreak, I am offering Telehealth (video or phone counseling). For the past decade, I have specialized in treating individuals who experience depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and stress. My approach to your wellbeing includes practical tools and gentle compassion for immediate or ongoing challenges. Our work together will be interactive and experiential, including mindfulness, somatic (body-based), and depth psychotherapy, as well as practical approaches to support you in feeling grounded in yourself and at peace with your life.

Taking the first step of reaching out to a counselor can feel daunting, so my commitment is that I will respond to you within 24 hours (usually sooner). We'll schedule a free phone consultation so you can ask questions and get a sense of me. Feeling better is just a phone call or email away. I look forward to hearing from you.

More Info About My Practice

I am contracted (in-network) with Pacific Source and Blue Cross, and I have also successfully billed many other different insurance companies as an out-of-network provider.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

A common misconception is that people who see therapists have "something wrong" with them. On the contrary, people who reach out for support are courageously seeking a deeper level of connection and satisfaction in their lives. Your emotional or physical discomfort can serve to initiate profound healing and growth. A good counselor offers objective guidance and compassionate support to help you understand and heal from your discomfort, and discover a deeply fulfilling life.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

Though we are all wounded in some way by the events and circumstances of life, many of us choose to find meaning and relevance through our wounding. This has been my path. As a young adult, I faced some significant health challenges. While I was tempted by despair, I was also fortunate to receive compassionate support and encouragement to search for a deeper truth being expressed through my symptoms. As I have devoted time and patience to listen to my symptoms, I have discovered healing in ways I could have never imagined. My path has revealed the healing power of intimate self-discovery, and I am passionate about helping others with this journey.
