I have over 13 years experience working with individuals, couples, and families.
I have a PhD in psychology from Saybrook University and am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Nevada.
The focus of my practice is on women's issues. For example, women who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and or childhood emotional neglect (CEN) and/or abuse. I also work with women who struggle with relationships and emotions. I love to support women who are stressed out and overwhelmed and are having difficulty coping in their daily life.
In my practice I help women gain clarity about themselves, their experiences and their relationships so that they are able to create a life that is more authentic and satisfying.
Therapy is a collaborative process. You are the expert on your life. Throughout the therapy experience you will play an active role. You will help:
1) determine the goals for your therapy;
2) determine how you will know you are reaching your goals; and
3) share feedback with me so that I am best able to support you in the therapy.
In my work with clients I draw from the following approaches:
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Between sessions you may have homework that involves: journaling, reading, dream work, and written exercises or techniques to practice. Samples of homework topics:
expressing yourself and asking for what you need
The main goal of therapy is to support you in creating a healthier relationship with yourself and others and to better manage difficult emotions.
Therapy will help you to feel better about yourself; to gain clarity about who you are and what matters most to you; and to gain the courage and strength to begin to live this out in the world, in your relationships with others and with yourself.
I offer a free, 20 minute consultation so you can learn more about me and to determine if we would be a good fit. You can schedule the consultation using the scheduling feature on my website.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
It takes incredible courage and strength to face your deepest struggles and fears in therapy.
For women who make the commitment and investment in themselves, the results of therapy can be meaningful and significant.
