My Approach to Helping
Welcome. Do you feel lost, deeply hurt, overwhelmed, heavy burdened, abandoned, alone? "To understand another person, you must swim in the same waters that drowned them." I have experienced drowning myself and have dedicated my life to helping others heal. And I will stay in the water with you and help to guide you safely to solid ground. I will walk alongside you through your journey to heal and grow. I will help you re-orientate and navigate your path. We can do this together.
My holistic approach emphasizes empowerment, mindfulness, self-compassion, self-accountability, and congruence as foundations for healing. My therapeutic style is uniquely structured to each person, their relationships, their experiences, and circumstances. I also recognize the importance of nutrition, physical activity, and nature as a part of treatment.
I view life as a journey of experiences and relationships- both inward and outward. Therapy can help enhance that journey and although there are a lot of unknowns in therapy, you can count on me to be empathetic, genuine, and accepting.
