My Approach to Helping

***NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS UNTIL MAY 2022*** Welcome! Do you feel lost, deeply hurt, overwhelmed, heavy burdened, abandoned, alone, desperate for healing and change? Looking for a customized and convenient therapy experience driven by client-centered care, rather than insurance-driven care? I will walk alongside you through your journey to heal and grow. I will help you re-orientate and navigate your path. I will help you heal. We can do this together. I offer a tailored therapeutic approach on a secure online platform with a qualified, skilled and compassionate holistic therapist at affordable prices.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the states of Nevada and Texas. I have been practicing therapy for seven years and have been providing teletherapy (online) services for five years. I hold a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and specialize in the treatment of trauma and co-occurring disorders such as depression, anxiety, addiction, and relational problems. In addition, my clinical focus includes working with women, spirituality, and faith. I maintain a holistic practice which, if you choose, can incorporate Biblical principles, lifestyle changes (nutrition, exercise, habits), and nature as components of healing. Additionally, my therapeutic style emphasize empowerment, mindful thinking, self-compassion, self-accountability, and congruence as foundations for healing. My therapeutic approach is as unique as each person, their relationships, their experiences, and circumstances. I believe the relationship between the therapist and persons seeking therapy is one of mutual respect, honesty, and equality.

I recognize the ups and downs of being in a relationship and maintaining individuality. I also relate to the joys and challenges of wanting the best for your children and grandchildren, providing for a family, as well as, life’s curve balls, past pain, and the uncertainty of transitions. I view life as a journey of experiences and relationships- both inward and outward. Therapy can help enhance that journey and although there are a lot of unknowns in therapy, you can count on me to be empathetic, genuine, and accepting. Let me walk alongside you and guide you through the process of empowerment, healing, and growth. Our journey together is a click away! Warm wishes, Felisa.
