I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor. My theoretical orientation is a cognitive behavioral (CBT) approach. In the past I have been a mental health advocate when I worked as a case worker. And also as I have been a workplace advocate when I worked as a community organizer and activist. Using a CBT approach, I like to help clients develop awareness so that they may use positive coping skills. I treat clients from many different walks of life. I specialize in LGBTQ, trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, grief and loss. I also treat clients who may have workplace issues.

For over a year, I volunteered facilitating meditation groups at a local women's treatment facility. I have attended a training through Journey for Self Understanding that certified me in Meditation for Counselors. I received a graduate certificate in Conflict Resolution Advanced Skills from George Mason University. I also obtained a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trinity Washington, University. I have received training from the DC Rape Crisis Center to be a hotline counselor. I am currently a third year doctoral student at Marymount University. My doctorate will be in Counselor Education and Supervision. I am accepting patients that are teenagers and adults.
