Guiding me in my practice is a belief that in a warm and supportive environment, people are able to access the tools inside themselves to be peaceful and happy. Most people rarely have a support system in their lives that is devoted to listening, supporting and being objective with the sole focus of just being there for them. I believe that in this environment most people thrive once their voice has been heard and they are able to tell their story.
It is my goal to create an environment where you can be heard. Where you feel supported and you can be completely honest with yourself without fear of judgment. In this setting we can explore patterns and themes that have led you to where you are today and so you can begin to make changes to get to where you want to be.

More Info About My Practice

I have offices is both Boise and Meridian. My Boise office is not conducive to seeing young children, but I do accept older children or adolescents who are able to participate in talk therapy sessions lasting about 45 minutes.

I also offer clinical supervision to interns and licensed counselors seeking advanced licensure.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

There is an abundance of research available that shows that the therapeutic alliance is one of the most important factors in seeing progress in therapy. Since every person and every therapist are different, it is critical to make sure you have a good fit. I am very genuine with my clients. While I believe that having a professional relationship with good boundaries is important, I also want those I work with to know that I am human also. This is a deeply personal journey you are taking and I feel it's important for my clients to know that they are embarking on that journey with someone who cares about them and is personable.
