More Info About My Practice
I graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling. I am licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counseling. I am currently pursuing licensure in the state of Mississippi. I am supervised by Terri Wright, LPC-S.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families to build healthy relationships, open communication, and heal past hurts. I integrate a variety of techniques and tools best suited to each client in order to reach their goals. Showing patience, grace, safety and compassion, I strive to help each client work to change in positive and healthy ways.
Using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and Emotion Focused therapy, I help individuals, couples, and families set realistic and attainable goals they desire to achieve through therapy.
I use Biblical Integration upon request and enjoy working with clients who want to integrate their faith into their counseling.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
One thing I like to share with potential clients is that I am specifically trained to help with Biblical Issues. If you are a Christian and looking to connect with a counselor who can integrate Biblical Principles into their counseling, then look no further. I use a blend of proven therapy techniques and tools, along with what the Bible teaches on specific issues, to help Christians further their spiritual walk while attaining their therapy goals.
What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
I would say that you do not know how beneficial counseling is until you have given it a try. I have been in personal counseling and marital counseling and live out the benefits of that counseling in my daily life. I will not ask my clients to do anything I would not do myself. I enjoy helping people learn new tools to enhance their relationships, heal past hurts, and connect with ones they love. It takes courage to take that first step and I am here to help you feel safe to do just that.
