Jennifer Haney,LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Mississippi. I am also licensed in several other states as well. I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families with issues such as relationship conflicts, grief, career changes, stress, boundaries, and emotional difficulties. It is my goal to help my clients overcome the challenges they are facing and feel more supported and hopeful about themselves and the obstacles they are experiencing. I would be happy to support you in your journey!

I incorporate a variety of counseling approaches depending on the needs of the client. I utilize cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy. These approaches encourage healthier ways of thinking and promote change. It is my goal to help you on your journey to a healthier and happier life.

I currently work with individuals and couples ages eighteen and over addressing relationship issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, and other life struggles. I understand the unique issues military and first responders face and welcome the opportunity to work with this population as well. I also have experience in working with the military and their families with overcoming the unique obstacles they face.

My professional counseling style mirrors my personality. I strive to create a non-judgemental and supportive environment for clients that promotes a safe, comfortable space to share and benefit from the sessions. I strive to be. kind, compassionate, and easy to talk with. I am supportive, honest, and direct without being judgemental.

I have felt led to work in the mental health field most of my life. I have also utilized counseling for difficulties in my life. It was not easy but proved to be incredibly beneficial. My life experiences have been my motivation to work as a counselor and pursue the education and training needed. It is so rewarding helping people to uncover their strengths and feel more empowered despite challenges they are facing. I would be honored to assist you in your journey.

Goal setting in counseling can be a helpful tool for growth and personal change. We will work together on setting goals that are best for you and your needs. It is also a time to gather information, discuss the counseling process, the client’s strengths and concerns and to begin to set goals.
