My Approach to Helping
I use art therapy and interpersonal skills to help clients identify their self defeating patterns of interactions in a non-judgmental, safe, contained environment. My approach, be it DBT, CBT, Object Relations, or other, is determined by the needs of the client and their reason for seeking therapy. I treat situational disturbances, and long term issues such as mental illness, mood and personality disorders. I teach the client to become a partner in their own recovery through learning skills to maintain balance through the upheavals that life can pose. I have worked with people in all stages of life from child to elderly and from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
