My Approach to Helping
Positive change often arises naturally in a space of nonjudgemental attention and curiosity toward one's direct experience. The more aspects of self that can be included in this mindful awareness, the better: body, mind, emotion, energy, imagery... In psychotherapy, I offer myself as a compassionate witness, ally and skilled guide. My approach is directive, yet spacious, always orienting toward what you want more of (and less of) in your life. Depending on what you need, and what interests and inspires you, each session unfolds in a unique tapestry of words, mindful exploration (inner looking), silence, emotions, artwork, sand tray, dream work, movement, humor... and more. We work collaboratively to help you discover and practice increasing consciousness and choice.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Working with anxiety is one of my strengths given the skills and tools I have developed over the years. I work with clients using mindfulness, cognitive techniques, relaxation, somatic resourcing, assertiveness training within a compassionate environment.
