My Approach to Helping

Wouldn't it be a relief to find out therapy could be less like going to the dentist for root canal and more like a safari into your own inner world? As a psychotherapist, I believe we all carry an innate wholeness despite our limitations, an inner wisdom about how to heal our own psychic and emotional wounds, and a desire to reach our full potential. In our work together, as we get in touch with and learn to access your innate wisdom and wholeness, healing can become a deeply rewarding, sometimes profoundly spiritual experience as well as an adventure in self-discovery. My role is to create a compassionate, accepting space for you to hear, understand, and follow your inner voices to greater well-being. Whether engaging in the transforming power of creativity or dialogging with different parts of yourself, I will support your vision of who you want to be, so you can create the life you want to live. As an art therapist, I have seen how creative pursuits are a powerful means for effecting change and gaining health. Creativity is an essential aspect of our humanness. Engaging our creative capacity connects us to the depths of ourselves, the heights of ourselves, the source of Life. Art making and images are agents of healing that can lead you on the path to physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being. I offer 25 years of experience with art & the creative process in a non-judgmental environment. My office/studio is located in a building occupied by 14 other working artist for the last 30 years. The place is thick with creative energy, which spills out into the halls in the form of paintings & sculpture. My office/studio is a comfortable, aesthetically pleasant place that also gives you permission to be messy without worrying over the carpet. It is fully equipped. I hope it beckons you to follow your own creative yearnings. FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION WEEKEND & EVENING HOURS AVAILABLE
