Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I find that many people seek therapy when they are experiencing a major life change or transition. Whether it's a marriage ending, the death of a loved one, a medical illness, a family crisis, a job change...Change in life circumstances usually involves some kind of loss. I often work with people around these kinds of experiences involving change, loss, and life's challenges. Even when the change is sought after and wanted, there is usually some grieving before moving to the next phase. And even when the change is painful, there is usually an opportunity for personal growth in positive ways.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Psychotherapy should be a collaborative endeavor based on trust and a sense of emotional safety. It's most important that a client feel comfortable with a therapist. Fit is more important than specific techniques or even the therapists "orientation." So see if it feels helpful and right and let that be your guide.
