My Approach to Helping

When you're on the lookout for a therapist, I know you're seeking more than just answers. You're searching for someone who not only comprehends the depths of your experiences but also warmly invites you to explore and understand these facets together. If you're feeling lost, overwhelmed, or simply in need of a compassionate ear, I'm here to offer that supportive space you're longing for.

I'm Danielle Jones from Listen Counseling Center, and I've devoted my career to walking alongside individuals like you—those ready to unearth their potential and foster significant change in their lives. Together, we'll embark on a journey that's as much about discovering resilience and strength as it is about addressing your immediate struggles.

Our sessions are far from a one-size-fits-all approach; they're tailored to mirror your unique story and needs. Through a balanced blend of professional insight and empathetic listening, I aim to guide you towards not just coping, but thriving. Whether you're navigating the complexities of identity, battling mental health challenges, or working through life's myriad stresses, our collaborative process ensures you're supported every step of the way.

If you're eager to start this chapter of growth and self-discovery, I encourage you to reach out. Together, we can lay the groundwork for a future where you feel not just heard, but genuinely understood and valued. Your path to regeneration and renewal begins with a single step—let's take that step together.

More Info About My Practice

In my practice, I focus on building a safe and supportive environment where every individual can feel understood and valued. Specializing in individual and group counseling, I'm dedicated to guiding people through their unique journeys of self-discovery and healing.

Understanding that each person comes with their own story, challenges, and aspirations, I approach therapy with a combination of professional insight and genuine empathy. It's important for me to create a space where we can openly discuss and work through issues related to addiction, mental health, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, abuse, racism, and discrimination. My commitment is to offer support that not only addresses immediate concerns but also empowers individuals to build resilience and find lasting fulfillment.

My group counseling sessions are designed to foster a sense of community and shared understanding. In these sessions, I aim to bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds, creating an inclusive atmosphere where all voices are heard and respected. Whether in individual or group settings, the focus is always on providing personalized guidance that aligns with each client's needs and goals.

If you're seeking a therapeutic partnership that values your identity and experiences while providing the tools for personal growth and healing, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can explore the paths that lead to a more empowered and authentic life.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

In our lives, navigating emotional turmoil and behavioral challenges can often feel like an isolating experience. However, it doesn't have to be this way. Through group psychotherapy, specifically through the ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) groups that I run, you are not alone on this journey. These therapeutic sessions are spaces of communal healing and personal growth, where every voice is valued, and every experience matters.

ACT helps you align your actions with your values, teaching you to accept what's out of your control while committing to actions that enrich your life. It emphasizes mindfulness and acceptance as tools for living a vibrant, value-driven life, even amidst pain and challenge.

DBT, on the other hand, focuses on developing skills to better manage emotions, enhance interpersonal relationships, and maintain mindfulness in the hustle and bustle of daily living. It?s about finding balance, understanding your emotions, and learning effective ways to cope with life's ups and downs.

One of the most compelling aspects of these group sessions is their accessibility. Recognizing the importance of making mental health care more affordable, I offer these group therapies at half the cost of individual sessions. This approach ensures that more individuals have the opportunity to receive support and build resilience without financial barriers standing in the way.

Joining one of these groups means stepping into a supportive community that understands and shares your struggles. It's about breaking through isolation and connecting with others who are on similar paths, all guided by professional and empathetic support.

If you're seeking a space where you can openly explore your feelings, learn valuable coping skills, and connect with a supportive community, I invite you to consider joining our ACT or DBT group therapy sessions. Together, we can embark on a path toward healing, growth, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and our potential.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

Have you ever found yourself sitting across from a therapist, filled with hope for understanding, yet struggling to voice your deepest feelings and concerns? It's a daunting moment. You aim to open up, to share what's truly bothering you, but instead, fear, shame, guilt, and frustration hold you back. The conversation skims the surface, time seems to stretch endlessly, and you leave feeling unchanged, possibly questioning whether to return. The idea of discussing your real issues feels risky?what if you're not understood, or worse, what if the therapy makes you feel more isolated, especially when it comes to aspects of your identity that you're comfortable with?

I understand these challenges deeply because I've navigated them myself.

You no longer need to dance around your truth. My role is to equip you with the necessary skills to enhance your relationships, regulate your emotions, manage stress, and cultivate a sense of inner peace. This comes with a profound respect for your identity, preferences, culture, and values. Together, we can create a space where your experiences are validated and your voice truly heard.
