Her specialization in this area is the treatment of Sexually abusive adolescents, often whom are also victims of abuse themselves. Joanna's clinical training began as an Art Therapist and she sometimes uses art in her individual sessions. She believes that art can help people express the thoughts and feelings that seem to have no words. Joanna also believes that confidentiality is at the core of therapy and that honesty is central to change.
