What's My Approach to Therapy?

Seeking therapy is an act of courage, and I want to congratulate you on taking the first step. Struggling with chronic illness? Feeling anxious or depressed? Experienced trauma and can't seem to recover? You're in the right place. I want to work together with you to identify and reach your therapy goals. I specialize in treating people with adult congenital heart conditions, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), medical trauma, chronic illness, and organ transplants. I also enjoy working with therapists. I offer flexible scheduling in the office and via telehealth. You've come this far; I invite you to reach out.

I have dedicated over 18 years to mental health counseling. I specialize in the treatment of posttraumatic stress (PTSD) and psychological symptoms due to chronic illness, organ transplant, and medical trauma. I am eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) trained and certified in cognitive processing therapy.

Living with chronic health conditions can present unique challenges, but you don't have to face them alone. If you're seeking support, guidance, and empowerment in navigating the emotional aspects that come with having chronic health conditions, I am here to help.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Overwhelming feelings of sadness or helplessness
Not being able to cope with everyday problems
Difficulty concentrating at work or at school
Drinking too much, taking drugs, or being aggressive
