My Approach to Helping

My philosophy includes using the Psychodynamic, Cognitive/Behavioral, and Experiential approach. I believe these approaches allow for an empathetic, honest, compassionate, and respectful atmosphere that is required in order for growth to occur.

More Info About My Practice

Sometimes life can be challenging, but it does not have to be. I can accompany you on a journey to explore new possibilities and bring back hope that may have been lost. I work with individuals who display a wide variety of issues such as depression, anxiety or fear, grief and loss, substance abuse, relationship issues, spirituality, and etc. My approach consists of a warm, non-judgmental environment through compassion, patience, and understanding. I believe that by respecting the client and meeting them where they are at is key to their success. Besides talk therapy, I also offer an alternative way for healing to occur through the gift of art. When a client expresses the desire to work with art materials, the idea is to cultivate the artistic sensibilities in order to discover the true self. Art experience is not necessary. The overall goal in therapy is to help an individual express themselves. This can by done through talk therapy or art. I hope that I can join you on this new endeavor.
