My Approach to Helping
A Native American story tells us that all people have two wolves inside fighting. One wolf carries the message that we are not worthy and not responsible; the other wolf is filled with understanding. The story concludes that the wolf that wins is the one we "pay attention to."

I utilize Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy to help clients move their attention away from unproductive thoughts and towards present tense activities. In the process, clients tell their own stories, thus promoting healing.

I provide a safe and confidential environment for clients and encourages clients to look at their own ambivalence. With this additional clarity, clients will better be able to make decisions and move forward.
