In my practice, I specialize in helping adults find relief from emotional distress by helping them cope with and grow through loss and life-changing events in order to live more satisfying lives. Stressful life conditions are an inevitable aspect of our lives; nonetheless, I believe we all possess the ability to look at ourselves more deeply to guide our own response. I believe that the therapeutic relationship we develop is the most important aspect of psychotherapy. All models, techniques and interventions in effective therapy flow from this. I am oriented in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I occasionally draw upon cognitive, behavioral, and eastern philosophy to augment this orientation.
