My Approach to Helping
Each person who contacts me for help with a particular issue they are struggling with, brings their own context to our work. It is important to me that we properly explore and process their own context of where they came from, and help them make connects to what they are struggling with today.

I am light-hearted and empathetic by nature, and I enjoy the work I do. I believe this shows from the time a person first contacts me.

More Info About My Practice
I am In-Network with many health insurance plans and Employee Assistance Programs. Please ask about your particular plan when you contact me. As often as possible, I offer same-day appointments, eliminating long wait times.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have specialized training in dealing with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, anger management and anger resolution, and relationships. I have found that many people who come to my office have at least moderate levels of anger expression that is holding them back from a happier life. Trauma experience is another common issue that people who come to my office struggle with. Unprocessed trauma, general leads to issues with anger, anxiety and depression. As a trained Marriage and Family Therapist, I deal with relationships of all types.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

The psychotherapy process brings a basic level of awareness that in turn helps people. For example, people who ask for help with dealing with their anger, often come with the notion that they are angry people. Gaining proper perspective on the idea that anger is one of many emotions we feel each and every day, makes dealing with anger more about behavior than character flaw. I feel that it is helpful to look at what it is about feeling angry that is causing so many problems in a person\'s life. Learning different ways of thinking and coping with the everyday stuff that gets us \"riled up\" can help a person deal with stressful times much more effectively.
