My Approach to Helping
We all get stuck at some points in our lives. I, as well as anyone, know what it's like to feel hopeless, confused, uncertain and overwhelmed. The trick to moving forward is to acknowledge when these things happen and find ways to get unstuck. Whatever the circumstances, through our work together you will gain access to those skills that help you open doors that can lead from suffering into possibility.
My work is guided by a belief in the unity of being: mind/body/emotion/spirit and directed at creating emotional healing and self-mastery. I specialize in the practice of somatic mind/body healing therapies, and my clinical orientations include but are not limited to: spiritual psychology, body-centered psychotherapy and mind/body healing therapies, brief therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, gestalt. A mindfulness approach informs all of my work, and ultimately it is the needs and sensibilities of the people with whom I work that dictates the format.
As emotional residue and trauma are cleared from the body and psyche, you will experience shifts in the way you participate in your life through heightened self-image and self-confidence. You may experience improved relationships, greater abundance, and improved health. Hopefully, there will be more moments of contentment and joy.
I offer psychotherapy and life skills coaching for individual adults and teens, couples, families and groups in Los Angeles, CA. Please see my website for more information.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
Like others, I have had challenges in my lifetime...learning to navigate relationships, tolerate financial fluctuations, deal with the grief and loss that attend long-term illness and life changes. Over time, I have become more tolerant, patient, empathetic and loving to myself and others, particularly those who come to me for help. I have great respect for those who seek guidance and support, and believe it shows in my work and my relationships.
