My Approach to Helping

My therapeutic style is client-centered, grounded in wellness, not sickness, blending solution-focused, contemplative, body-centered and cognitive-behavioral approaches. I believe that we all have the inherent wisdom to use our obstacles and losses to grow and heal. I am also a trained and certified mindfulness meditation instructor, and am EMDR Level I certified. Change is a normal part of life, and life changes can be overwhelming. As a partner, I help my clients discover their strengths and resources in navigating life's changes. I am conveniently located in Central Denver. Life Events that can trigger feelings of grief and loss include: * Loss of a loved one or pet * Loss of job or vocation * Illness, disability, chronic pain * Relocation * Separation or divorce * Professional/family caregiving Those feelings can include sadness or depression, anxiety, changes in sleep and eating patterns, trauma, isolation, helplessness, hopelessness and other feelings. Overwhelming feelings can be normal reactions to grief, loss and transitions or change. I offer a compassionate, empathetic, safe and non-judgmental environment for my clients to tap into their innate strengths and resources. With my compassionate guidance, grief and loss can be transformed into healing and growth.
