My Approach to Helping
Due to COVID-19, I am giving clients the option of telehealth or in-person appointments at this time.
I believe everyone should have access to good counseling. I've been in private practice for 13 years and typically use a cognitive-behavioral approach, although eclectic may best describe my skills. I have a passion for helping others and was an elementary teacher for 7 years before going into the counseling field. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with individuals of all ages, couples and families.
More Info About My Practice
I am considered an out-of-network provider with most insurance carriers which means clients may get reimbursed for their out-of-pocket expense minus their copay or my fee might go towards their deductible. Please contact me or your insurance company for more information.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I'm particularly skilled in helping with children, although I enjoy working with people of all ages.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy can help people change in a positive way and resolve troublesome behaviors, beliefs, compulsions, thoughts or emotions, and replace them with more pleasant and functional alternatives. It can also increase one's sense of his or her own well being.
