Billing and Insurance:

I don't currently accept insurance, but I can provide documentation if clients wish to submit to an insurance company for "out of network" benefit coverage

Session Fees: I am an Out-of-Network (OON) provider for insurance. I urge all potential clients to contact their insurer to inquire about their OON benefits before beginning therapy. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have about this billing model. The following are my fees: Free 15 minute consultation $250 for a new client intake assessment $175 for an up-to-50 minute individual therapy session $225 for a 60 minute couples or conjoint therapy session $100 for up to 30 minute extension of couples or conjoint therapy session (please confirm availability when scheduling) [For couples or conjoint therapy, an intake session is needed for each participant individually.] *I am unable to accept any new couples clients at this time.* Clients typically keep a credit card* on file, which I bill at the time of the session. I then provide a “superbill” with all of the diagnoses and session codes for clients to submit to their insurance if they wish to pursue out-of-network reimbursement. (*Cash, check, HSA, and Zelle accepted, as well.)

What's My Approach to Therapy?

**ACCEPTING NEW IN-PERSON AND TELEHEALTH CLIENTS** Through 25+ years of experience, I have discovered a particular passion for supporting clients in healing from abuse and other traumas, as well as in addressing the impacts of challenging or complex relationships, including those impacted by narcissistic dynamics. I also find it deeply meaningful to help clients work through family-of-origin and attachment issues; liberate from anxiety, phobias, panic, or OCD; heal from or repair relational issues; develop effective boundaries; transform self-esteem, grow to find joy, purpose, and fulfillment; or move in the direction of a values-driven life. I offer a compassionate understanding of who you are, how you show up in your surroundings, and how you experience people, events, and the world around you. I am nurturing while also able to challenge long-held beliefs and patterns that may be keeping you stuck or holding you back form the life you want to life. Building on a strengths-based approach, I help clients identify and more fully develop the resilience and skills within them. From that foundation, I utilize various evidence-based therapy modalities to help clients heal, find wellness, and flourish. If this resonates, I invite you to reach out for a complimentary consultation to see if we might be a good fit. I wish you well on your journey!

My Practice & Services

I began practicing psychotherapy over 25 years ago in the greater Washington, DC area. After 4 years, I moved back to the Northwest to join Rainier Associates, a private practice group in Tacoma, WA. I loved this model, but, after 17 years, our group was acquired by a large, nationwide corporation. Although a large corporation is able to provide access to care to more clients, I recognized that a small, personalized setting best compliments my therapeutic approach and decided to establish my own private practice: Be Well, Washington, PLLC, in 2022. I offer in-person therapy the North End of Tacoma and telehealth for all of Washington State. WA LICSW license number: LW00007980 NPI Number: 1497807564

Groups I Work With

  • *I have extensive experience working with survivors of early life trauma. Often, these individuals have kept their traumatic experiences private, carrying their distress alone throughout their life. I consider it a privilege to earn their trust and walk the journey with them through the healing process. *I also have significant experience working with clients struggling with family-of-origin issues and interpersonal conflict. I work with clients to explore the dynamics they learned in their first family, how that impacted them, and how that may be impacting other aspects of their life going presently and going forward. *Another focus of my practice is working with individuals impacted by the dynamics of narcissism. Whether these dynamics were with a parent, a sibling, an ex-partner, a current partner, or another significant relationship, the impact can have a very significant impact on those around the person who exhibited narcissistic traits. Working with individuals impacted by these traitsdynamics is something I am very passionate about. *I also specialize in the range of anxiety disorders, helping clients find their way through generalized anxiety, panic, phobias (including agoraphobia and social phobia), and obsessive-compulsive disorder towards more effective functioning.
