My Approach to Helping
Our relationship to self is the most important one that we will ever have. A bond with a supportive therapist who witnesses and understands us is instrumental in helping us to improve that relationship, and in helping us to make changes to the way we relate to ourselves and the world around us. Trauma, attachment issues, toxic families of origin, oppression, grief, and neurodiversity are just some factors that make it more difficult to live in the present and find fulfillment in life. I have ten years of clinical experience and have successfully treated clients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar, and ADHDASDOCD.
I have a background in marriage and family therapy and training in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma, emotion-focused therapy, attachment theory, EFT tapping, mindfulness, and polyvagal theory. Using these modalities, I seek to help clients move away from shame and guilt-based patterns resultant from "big and little t" traumas. I can use a psychospiritual lens during therapy when requested.
